POSITION PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities in a plastic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop the maintenance team while promoting a strong safety culture
- Keep extrusion lines, facility systems, and equipment running at top performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues
- Drive preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability initiatives
- Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, vendor relationships, and capital projects
- Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and environmental compliance efforts
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
- 3–5 years of maintenance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience in plastics, extrusion, food packaging, or food manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and reliability practices
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of technical training and relevant maintenance leadership experience may be considered.
Experience
- 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
- Experience in manufacturing plastics, extrusion, food packaging, or food manufacturing are strongly preferred.
Compensation Information:
The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually. The pay rate for a successful candidate will depend on the geographic location, this salary range is for a successful candidate in the Atlanta metro area. The specific hiring rate within the posted range will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
