Principal Verification & Validation Engineer

The Principal V&V Engineer provides technical leadership in the planning, execution, and improvement of Verification & Validation activities across Leica’s product portfolio. The role defines test strategies, frameworks, and documentation to ensure product reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across mechanical, electrical, optical, firmware, and software domains. The position collaborates closely with R&D, RA/QA, Operations, Product Management, Supply Chain, and global teams to ensure early risk identification, comprehensive test coverage, and consistent execution across the product lifecycle. Key challenges include balancing development speed with verification rigor, managing complex system interactions, supporting evolving regulatory expectations, and improving V&V processes, documentation, and test methods to support high‑quality product releases.
