The Opportunity
We are currently on the lookout for a Technical Operations Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within SLAs
Monitoring application performance using DataDog; diagnose and address anomalies
Working closely with end-users and engineering teams to ensure efficient issue resolution
Documenting incidents and findings in postmortems to contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Automating routine tasks to improve efficiency and prevent recurring issues
Identifying opportunities to enhance service management processes by streamlining workflows and reducing manual tasks
Providing 24/7 support on a rotating roster to ensure continuous application availability
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related field
1–2 years of experience in technical application support, preferably with e-commerce or web applications
Troubleshooting skills across front-end and back-end web applications, including APIs, networking, and connectivity issues
Familiarity with web technologies such as Node.js and React.js for collaboration with development teams
Knowledge of AWS, Linux, networking fundamentals, and SQL
Basic scripting abilities in Shell or Python to automate tasks
Introductory knowledge of NoSQL databases and Kafka Streams/event-driven processing
An understanding of modern application architectures such as microservices and client-server models
Experience with incident management and ticketing tools like ServiceNow
The ability to perform sanity tests and support root cause analysis with guidance
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog) is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-team collaboration
An eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to workflow automation and process improvements
AWS Certified Solutions Architect and ITIL certification are advantageous
Experience with tools like Power BI or Tableau to generate insights and support data-driven decisions for system optimization are advantageous
Experience on Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, Vulnerability management tools will be an added advantage.
