CPS North America plays a pivotal role in supporting our North America Operating Unit (the #1 revenue-generating business within the system).

As our Senior Manager, Plant Manufacturing you will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production plans are delivered safely, on time, in full, and to the required quality and cost standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities  

Operational Execution 

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to deliver production plans safely, on time, in full, and at the required quality and cost. 
  • Ensure effective production scheduling, resource allocation, and capacity utilization to meet short and midterm business requirements. 
  • Drive adherence to standard work, operating procedures, and performance management routines. 

Safety, Quality & Compliance 

  • Champion a strong culture of safety, food safety, and quality, ensuring full compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and local legislation. 
  • Ensure manufacturing operations meet all Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, and KORE/ISO standards in partnership with QSE teams. 
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety incidents, quality deviations, and service failures. 

People Leadership & Engagement 

  • Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing leaders, supervisors, and frontline teams to build capability, accountability, and high engagement. 
  • Foster an inclusive, performance driven culture focused on teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement. 
  • Support talent development, succession planning, training, and workforce planning for manufacturing teams. 

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve efficiency, yield, cost, and reliability. 
  • Lead daily management systems, KPI reviews, and problem-solving routines to improve operational performance. 
  • Partner with Operational Excellence and Engineering teams to identify and implement process, equipment, and layout improvements. 

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans. 
  • Partner with Planning & Logistics to align production plans with demand, inventory targets, and supply chain requirements. 
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Automation, Finance, and People & Culture teams to deliver integrated business results. 

Change Management & Transformation 

  • Support change initiatives within manufacturing operations, ensuring effective communication, adoption, and sustainability. 
  • Support implementation of new technologies, processes, and systems in partnership with Engineering and Automation teams. 
  • Act as a role model for CPS values and behaviors during periods of change and transformation. 

Supervisory Responsibilities and Organization Impact/Influence  

Direct reports

  • 5 Production Managers, covering all Dray Parts, Liquid Parts and internal logistics processes and shifts. 

Job Requirements and Qualifications  

Desirable Experience in the position or similar function as:  

  • Production or Maintenance Manager 
  • Safety Manager 
  • Logistics Manager 
  • Laboratory Manager 

Number of years of previous work experience required 

  • +10 years  

Education Requirements    

  • Bachelors Degree, Industrial, Production, Chemistry Engineer of Foods, or similar discipline.
  • MBA a plus.
