You'll drive impactful research that shapes decisions about how we hire, train, enable, assess, and coach Bricksters - and more. You’ll apply a current-state lens to People processes as they exist today while helping to transform our future.
Impact You’ll Have:
- Drive Execution: Own end-to-end outcomes for major initiatives related to people data - from strategy shaping to requirements gathering to product development to initial launch to over-time optimization.
- Technical Excellence: Develop and enhance our data foundation by building AI-first dashboards, conversational agents, and automated solutions that are scalable and maintainable.
- SME Partnership: Act as a thought partner to decision-makers, translating workforce intelligence into actionable insights that impact the performance of individual employees and the company overall.
- Advanced Analytics: Design and execute complex analyses to predict trends, account for business context, and prescribe actions related to hiring, retention, or employee engagement.
- Automation: Convert recurring analysis requests into self-service tools, enabling leaders to make data-driven decisions independently.
- Enablement & Capability-Building: Support users to effectively interpret, interact with, and act on workforce insights. Produce toolkits, training, and resources that drive people data fluency and impact.
- Product Expertise & Innovation: Gain expertise in, and represent, our company products and services - staying current with features and releases from Databricks while attending to emerging best practices in people analytics and HR.
Who You Are:
- Education: You’ve earned a Master’s or PhD in a field related to workforce research and analytics (e.g., I/O Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Behavior).
- Experience: You have 10+ years of professional experience leading large-scale research and analytics projects with/for People/HR functions.
- Technical Skills: You have advanced skills in BI tools (e.g., Databricks AI/BI, Tableau, PowerBI), analytics and modeling, and a strong grasp of SQL.
- Business Acumen: You can identify data gaps in operational processes and systems designs, and can propose solutions to close them.
- Clear Communicator: You are an excellent communicator, with an ability to synthesize complex information into clear, insightful takeaways and action-oriented recommendations.
- Culture Champion: You are ready to collaborate closely with colleagues and network across functional areas to foster Databricks' cultural values.
