We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Transcend R&D BPO Plan and Source role in Beerse, Belgium or U.S. (Horsham, PA, Malvern, PA or Spring House, PA).
Purpose:
Innovative Medicine Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational Supply chain processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform (SAP S4 Hana) for growth and efficiency gains.
The program will simplify the Pharm ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes in order to have a cost effective, fit for purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharm business with agility.
R&D is an integral part of the IM Transcend program, in order to transform and standardize relevant R&D supply chain processes, to include them within the global IM Transcend Template.
The Transcend R&D program team is looking for a Transcend R&D Business Process Owner Plan and Source. As BPO you define and evolve the future state, value-driven E2E processes within R&D in scope of Transcend Plan and Source. In addition you develop a CMO integration strategy (for Make & Packaging & Labelling) aligned with the template model.
Together with the R&D key stakeholders, you identify business value to prioritize roadmap decisions. You get ahead of the change curve with the business function and ensure alignment to the global template, the clean core principles, and regulatory expectations.
This position is reporting into the Transcend R&D BPO Leader.
You will be responsible for:
Define and drive the product/process vision for Plan & Source processes in scope of Transcend. In addition you define the integration strategy for external CMO’s.
Engage with the business to build alignment and readiness for adoption of the Transcend global template (Fit-to-Standard) and clean core principles.
Advise R&D business leaders on Transcend functional strategy, roadmap trade-offs, and release impacts.
Ensure mandatory requirements are captured, assessed, and incorporated into the capability roadmap.
Partner with the Global Template Owner to ensure the global template meets business needs while maintaining clean core principles.
Drive cross-functional convergence across Innovative Medicine Supply Chain and TDS, aligning priorities and value realization across functions.
Anticipate release planning and lead business readiness activities, including change impact assessment and identification of near-term quick wins.
Drive continuous improvement post go-live, including issue triage, process performance reviews, and backlog prioritization
Approximate Percentage of Time & Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- 40% Business strategy, capability roadmaps

- 5% Compliance and audits
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree required in Business or Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (demand and production planning, indirect and direct procurement, CMO strategy and integration models).
8+ years R&D or supply chain leadership experience (experience in planning, manufacturing, logistics, 3rd party integration, sourcing)
SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain experience in one or more domains (manufacturing, quality management, external supply and integration, planning)
Proven results in global BPO or transformational leadership
Experienced in business value realization and measurement
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions in complex, ambiguous, global matrix environments.
Experienced in defining business roadmap based on template capabilities offered (current and future)
Experience with the requirements of working in a GxP/SOX environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data outcomes.
Strong influencing skills

Experience with change management for complex programs
Experience with SAP data objects in the area of plan, source, make
Experience with OMP Planning systems
Experience with process design methodologies
Travel up to 10%
