About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Associate Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to support prospective and existing customers by demonstrating the value of Okta’s identity and access management solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation, early career experience, and a passion for customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to support the sales cycle through technical discovery, product demonstrations, and solution design
- Build and deliver compelling demos showcasing Okta’s capabilities tailored to customer needs
- Assist in responding to technical questions, RFPs, and security questionnaires
- Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and solution architectures for customer use cases
- Collaborate with customers to understand business and technical requirements
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant value propositions
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment
- Stay current with identity, security, and cloud technology trends
Basic Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Support, or Consulting)
- Background in software development or hands-on coding experience (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar)
- Understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and web technologies (HTTP, JSON, OAuth, etc.)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts (SSO, MFA, OAuth, SAML, etc.)
