Lab Manager for North Region, St. Ann's and Dublin
Position Purpose:
The Manager, Laboratory Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and monitoring the operations of their assigned department(s) within the MCHS laboratory structure along with all assigned duties across the MCHS. Works in collaboration with other MCHS management and the Pathologist(s) to identify, implement and achieve strategic and operational objectives of MCHS.
· Clinical Laboratory Manager: Oversees a minimum of one hospital site including additional point of care duties for associated Off Site Emergency Department(s) and/or small hospital(s) laboratories.
Minimum requirements:
· Education: B.S. or B.A. degree, masters degree preferred
· Licensure / Certification: Clinical Laboratory: MLS, CLS, MT (ASCP)
· Experience: At least three years of diversified, practical experience in all areas of medical laboratory. Five years recent medical laboratory operations management experience preferred.
· Effective Communication Skills
· Demonstrated leadership qualities including human relations skills, financial management abilities, decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
