To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.

As the Senior Director of Technical Program Management, Monetization, you will be responsible to execute Pinterest’s multi-year strategy to scale demand and deliver delightful, relevant ad products for users and advertisers. This leader will drive strategic alignment and program execution across highly matrixed, cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Sales, Product Marketing Management, Data Science, and Design, to define sequencing, manage dependencies, remove ambiguity, and ensure consistent delivery against business-critical outcomes. You will also partner closely with Ads leadership and go-to-market teams to expand and adapt monetization strategies for international markets, ensuring strong global product-market fit. Success in this role requires exceptional people leadership and organizational influence, a strong foundation in technical program management and operating rigor, and the ability to set and track outcome-based metrics (e.g., revenue, ROAS) while institutionalizing scalable experimentation and best-in-class TPM practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and drive execution of a 3-year monetization strategy to scale demand and improve ad relevance and performance for users and advertisers.
  • Create strategic alignment and operating rhythm across cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Sales, PMM, Data Science, Design), including sequencing, dependencies, and shared accountability.
  • Partner with Ads leadership, PMM, and Sales GTM to expand and adapt monetization strategy for international markets to ensure global product-market fit.
  • Lead the Monetization TPM team to deliver full-funnel performance capabilities, industry-compatible interfaces, platform integrations, and AI-first tooling.
  • Set and track KPIs/OKRs tied to business outcomes (e.g., ROAS, revenue) and institutionalize scalable experimentation practices.
  • Remove ambiguity and unblock delivery across multiple parallel, high-priority initiatives; communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs with executive stakeholders.
  • Build, coach, and retain a high-performing TPM org; standardize and elevate TPM craft and best practices across Monetization.
  • Use GenAI as the default operating model for EP PgM execution—producing AI-assisted first drafts of core program artifacts, modernizing high-toil workflows into AI-first mechanisms (e.g., intake triage, status synthesis, action/decision extraction, risk & dependency tracking), and synthesizing signals to proactively surface risks, decision/trade-offs, and escalation paths.
  • Prototype solutions to augment decisions through data (e.g. dashboards, data analysis) or simplify processes (e.g. process and workflow helpers, or internal tools) using AI coding assistants (“vibe coding”).
  • Follow Pinterest AI guidance for risk, governance, and safety-by-design: appropriately handle sensitive data, validate AI-generated outputs, document assumptions/limits, and ensure AI-assisted workflows meet applicable policy/compliance expectations before broad adoption.
