Job Description

Who is Quantium?

Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.

Consumer is one of Quantium's largest verticals with over 150 people globally, delivering insights and analytical solutions to consumer goods companies across multiple markets including Australia, the UK and US. As we navigate the AI revolution, we're transforming how we bring data science and AI capabilities to market—creating new opportunities to drive value for our clients and reshape the future of consumer analytics.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Strategy Manager to join our Consumer division in Sydney. You'll be the analytical engine behind Consumer's leadership team during a period of fundamental transformation, translating strategic ambitions into rigorous frameworks, business cases, and implementation roadmaps. Working directly with senior leadership, you'll shape the strategic direction of a significant business as it evolves its commercial model, operating approach, and AI-enabled service portfolio.

How will you make an impact?

  • Strategic problem-solving: Own the analytical and strategic development of critical business questions including commercial model evolution, client segmentation, operating model design, and business cases for new AI-enabled service offerings

  • Go-to-market strategy: Partner with Consumer leadership to shape how AI capabilities are commercialised and taken to market, developing client segmentation approaches, pricing strategies, competitive positioning, and compelling value propositions

  • Implementation partnership: Work alongside delivery teams to translate strategic recommendations into implementation plans, maintaining accountability for strategic intent whilst providing ongoing guidance as recommendations move into delivery

  • Strategic relationships: Build credibility and influence across Consumer's Client Partnership teams, Analytics leadership, Product and Technology functions, and international market leads to effectively navigate matrix stakeholder environments

The superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Strategy expertise: Approximately 5–7 years' experience in strategy development, ideally with consulting foundation (MBB, Big 4, or boutique strategy firms) or equivalent strategy roles in complex organisations

  • Analytical capability: Strong problem-solving skills with ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured workstreams whilst maintaining focus on practical, implementable recommendations

  • Financial acumen: Proven financial modelling and business case development experience, including pricing models, market sizing, and financial projections with proficiency in Excel

  • Communication excellence: Exceptional ability to distil complex analysis into clear executive narratives, with experience producing strategy documents and presenting to senior stakeholders

  • Self-starter mindset: Thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments with intellectual curiosity and strong learning orientation, particularly around AI, analytics, and technology trends

Remember – you might not tick all the boxes, but don’t let that from stopping you applying. We’re more interested in how you work, your ability to solve problems and think big.

What could your Quantium Experience look like?

Working at Quantium will allow you to challenge your imagination. You will get to solve complex problems using rigor, precision and by asking great questions – but it also means
