JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team in Germany. We combine technology and experience design to create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is digital experiences and communication that change perceptions and shape new behaviours to make a difference in the market.

As Head of Content Strategy you will translate complex business and brand goals into high-level content ecosystems, defining the strategic "Source of Truth". From comprehensive audits and Tone of Voice frameworks to sophisticated content plans. While you set the vision and the roadmap, experienced copywriters and UX writers do the execution. In this role, you aren't just a writer; you are a consultant shaping high-impact content that resonates with human audiences and agents (– mastering the balance between traditional SEO visibility and the emerging standards of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Architect of Digital Content Ecosystems: You’ll translate high-level brand and business strategies into actionable content roadmaps, ensuring every digital channel serves a specific purpose in the user journey.
  • Consult & Audit with Authority: You’ll lead deep-dive content audits to identify gaps and opportunities, providing clients with data-driven recommendations that align their legacy content with business objectives and new requirements.
  • Define the "Source of Truth": You’ll develop comprehensive Content Guidelines and Tone of Voice (ToV) frameworks that act as the strategic North Star for both our internal creative teams but also clients' in-house departments.
  • Future-Proof Content for LLMs & Search: You’ll strategize high-impact copy that doesn’t just rank on traditional search engines but is architected to perform in the age of Generative AI and Large Language Models.
  • As Head of Content you will build the foundation for growth by managing complexity and strengthening team skills. You are responsible for anchoring standards that ensure delivery excellence through seamless cross-location and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in content strategy and leadership, with a deep-rooted expertise in digital product environments and complex ecosystems rather than traditional advertising. You understand content as a crucial element for improving the user experience and not just as a marketing message.
  • Portfolio: A proven track record of content strategies and playbooks – from initial auditing and strategic frameworks to precise implementation and governance.
  • Communication: The ability to turn abstract strategies into compelling pitches that win clients, consults them with authority, and build the deep-rooted trust required for long-term partnerships.
  • Tech Savvy: Good overview of the latest tech trends and what's possible that goes beyond buzzwords (digital platforms, digital channels, AI transformation)
  • Language: Comfortable to communicate in both German and English on C1 level.
