The Salesforce Systems & Tools team is seeking a Director to lead the design and delivery of scalable, supportable solutions that power Professional Services Operations, including staffing, analytics, and pre and post sales systems. This role combines deep Salesforce platform expertise, spanning configuration, customization, integrations, and emerging capabilities like AI, with a strong understanding of Certinia’s PS Cloud and scoping/estimator tools. The Director partners closely with business and IT stakeholders to define strategy, translate requirements into technical solutions, and drive end-to-end system delivery, including architecture, prototyping, testing, and integration. They also establish best practices for system design, governance, and data integrity, while leading cross-functional teams, managing complex initiatives, and ensuring solutions are aligned to business goals, scalable for growth, and effectively adopted across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team(s) delivering high-quality Salesforce solutions across custom development, integrations, and data migrations.

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define strategic objectives, and translate business needs into scalable solutions.

  • Architect and document robust Salesforce solutions, leading design sessions and identifying gaps between current and future states.

  • Oversee integrations with third-party systems using APIs and middleware, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

  • Enforce best practices, maintainable design patterns, and overall solution quality across implementations.

  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure thorough testing, debugging, and system reliability.

  • Manage releases, enhancements, and environment updates to ensure smooth, low-risk deployments.

  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching, reviews, and feedback to drive technical excellence and growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., SMEs, architects, product owners) to align on requirements, solution design, and enablement.

  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to global stakeholders and leadership.

  • Stay current on Salesforce innovations and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a liaison with Salesforce product teams to support delivery, resolve issues, and influence platform enhancements.


Required Experience / Expertise / Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in CRM solutions, with at least 6 years specializing in the Salesforce platform.

  • Proven expertise in designing and developing large-scale, web-based systems with comprehensive exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture with the ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of data sharing, visibility models, and their architectural implications within Salesforce.

  • Familiar with Salesforce Analytics and AI-driven features to enhance platform intelligence and automation.

  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git, with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines tailored for Salesforce.

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing concepts and the broader Salesforce product suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with a proactive approach to learning new technologies, business processes, and development frameworks.

  • Experienced in environment and release management, source control strategies, and deployment best practices.

  • Adept at working within Agile development environments and cross-functional teams.

  • Salesforce Certified

  • Bachelor's Degree

Desired Experience / Expertise / Skills

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (Advanced Administrator and Platform Developer I/II certifications preferred) with strong hands-on platform experience.

  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems, data management, and Certinia PSA (PS Cloud) and financial tools.

  • Experience in customer-facing consulting roles, delivering tailored Salesforce solutions aligned to business needs.

  • Background in Sales Operations and/or Professional Services, with understanding of core operational workflows and processes.

  • Experience with CLM, CPQ, and system integrations across enterprise environments.

  • Skilled in creating clear documentation (e.g., use cases, user stories, business and technical requirements).

  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prototype, test, and drive successful solution delivery and adoption.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $164,000 - $261,500 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
