Basic Function
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for driving performance in the key areas of safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and continuous improvement within their assigned manufacturing areas. This role requires both tactical execution and strategic leadership to strengthen a safety-first culture while leading initiatives that drive operational excellence and process optimization across internal manufacturing operations.

Job Duties

  • Promotes and adheres to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) guidelines and procedures; ITW Safety Pledge.
  • Completes a minimum submission of two Safety Observations per month.
  • Identifies, recommends and ensures appropriate follow-through on safety initiatives/improvements.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, develop, and engage team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Leads manufacturing operations within assigned areas to achieve safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and inventory objectives.
  • Drives operational improvements using 5S and other production/lean methods.
  • Direct and support hourly non-exempt team members in coordinating and executing daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demands, on-time delivery, inventory requirements, and uptime performance metrics.
  • Coordinates with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and support production requirements.
  • Collaborates with EHS and Quality teams to ensure consistent application of functional processes across production lines.
  • Investigate operational issues and recommend long-term improvements related to safety, cost, quality, and operational performance.
  • Maintains high housekeeping and safety standards throughout the manufacturing area.
  • Utilizes company ERP systems to support material planning, inventory management, and lot traceability.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Completes other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; experience leading production or direct labor teams required.
  • Background in safety and environmental practices preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret and apply detailed written or verbal instructions using sound judgment.
  • Ability to effectively address and resolve issues involving employees, equipment, or operational resources.
  • Previous ERP system experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.

Compensation Information:

Pay range for this position is $85k-$100K depending on experience and job history.
