Job Description

The Amazon Worldwide Grocery team is looking for a Manager, Category Management to lead a team overseeing multiple facets of our omni-channel retail business (e.g., buying/vendor management, product management, operations, marketing/merchandising) and identifying growth opportunities within our Produce and Floral space. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business, and engage regularly with senior leaders.

You will have accountability for business results of your team and product categories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including hiring, growth and development of your team, developing and growing vendor relationships, expanding product selection and vendor base, leading negotiations, setting category strategy, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements and creating best-in-class customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team, have familiarity and experience in managing a financial P&L, and strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
-Manage, hire and develop a team of Category Managers
-Manage the P&L of an existing product portfolio while exploring new opportunities and innovation
-Collaborate with functional partners in order to deliver against KPIs (revenue, units, instock rate, shrink, etc.)

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of negotiations and vendor management experience
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of team management experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using data to influence business decisions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
