What You Would Get To Do

In this capacity, the ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand as an embedded team member at a well-known technology company and serve as Associate Team Lead, Event Production. This position is ideal for someone with strong production and management experience in the event industry who can assume a management role within an organisation. The Associate Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing on-site technical event production, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, and high-quality execution. The role involves a mix of technical expertise, team leadership, process development, and client management to enhance both the internal team’s performance and the client’s experience.

Your Contributions

  • Lead onsite technical service delivery, including process development, training, and innovation
  • Manage a team of Event Production technicians, overseeing scheduling and workload distribution and office presence to maintain adequate team coverage
  • Administer and maintain the event calendar to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor team capacity, assist with events, and provide guidance as needed
  • Partner with leadership and People & Culture on recruiting, employee relations, and company initiatives
  • Manage onboarding, training, and offboarding processes for direct reports
  • Act as a liaison between the team, client organization, and third-party vendors
  • Serve as Technical Lead for complex events and provide technician support when required
  • Ensure team’s adherence to standard operating procedures, compliance processes, and best practices
  • Maintain detailed event records and post-production financial reporting i.e., consumable spend and billing
  • Identify and implement improvements in production services based on feedback and industry trends
  • Foster strong team communication, motivation, and professional development through mentorship
  • Ensure cost efficiency, value-added services, and high-quality production standards for clients
  • Train and support freelancers to meet performance and quality expectations
  • Acting as the in-room client liaison for Advanced show contributions to support seamless technical execution, clear communication, and an elevated host experience by aligning event delivery with the Run of Show and coordinating crew logistics

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a similar role
  • In addition to production experience, 1 – 2 years’ experience leading production teams is preferred 
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead by example is essential 
  • High level of proficiency in the delivery of high-quality events 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must to build and maintain rel
