The work:

The Business Analyst will join an agile delivery team where your primary focus will be collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs and translate those requirements into actionable features and user stories. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of these features, from initial requirements gathering through to testing and final release into production. Your day-to-day activities will involve facilitating discussions with stakeholders, ensuring clarity in deliverables, and maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the development process. Success in this position will be supported by your ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new systems and processes. Your willingness to embrace feedback and iterate on solutions will further enhance your contributions to the team’s objectives. Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with clients to gather and clarify requirements for new features and system enhancements
  • Translate client requirements into actionable features and user stories for the agile delivery team
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to team planning and delivery
  • Test system changes to ensure they meet requirements and maintain quality standards
  • Release approved changes into production environments
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Attend on-site meetings in the DC region up to two times per week as required

Here's what you need:

    • Familiarity with agile methodologies and delivery frameworks will be highly beneficial
    • Experience with tools such as Jira or DevOps for tracking stories and managing sprints
    • Must demonstrate knowledge with the functionality of applications and current computer technology (ie.- exposure to collaborative platforms like Confluence or Slack, to help you stay organized and connected)
    • Active Secret clearance
    • Ability to go onsite 2-3 days/week
