Job Description

As a Digital Assets Director reporting to the SVP, Capital Formation, you'll play a critical role in shaping Nasdaq's digital asset strategy across our Capital Access Platforms division—spanning listings, index, data, workflow, and private markets. You'll identify strategic opportunities, evaluate partnerships and investments, and translate insights into actionable initiatives that drive platform growth.
You'll thrive in this position if you're strategic, analytically rigorous, and passionate about emerging financial technologies. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic research and analysis to define CAP's digital-asset roadmap across multiple business lines, identifying organic growth opportunities and partnership potential.
  • Evaluate build, buy, or partner decisions through rigorous financial and strategic analysis, supporting investment opportunities with fintech partners.
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable project plans, including product requirements, pilot program design, and go-to-market planning.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, commercial, and legal teams to drive initiative development and cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop KPIs and performance frameworks to track the success of strategic initiatives and inform executive decision-making.
  • Prepare analysis and recommendations for senior CAP leadership on emerging market structure, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics in digital assets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in financial services, with deep understanding of capital markets and market infrastructure.
  • 3+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or analytical roles with a track record of driving strategic initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of digital assets concepts including tokenization, blockchain infrastructure, and digital securities, with the ability to evaluate opportunities from a business perspective.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and manage multiple workstreams in ambiguous environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in finance, business, or related field.
  • Experience with partnership evaluation, M&A analysis, or fintech market assessment.
  • Prior exposure to digital securities, market data platforms, or capital markets technology.

This position can be located in New York, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
