The emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with board certified physicians and advanced level practitioners who are well-trained to treat emergency needs. MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

As a Nursing Assistant at MercyOne, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care, enhancing restorative care, elevating the patients’ quality of life by providing a healing environment and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

General Requirements:

  • Nursing Assistant Certification, current nursing student, EMT or Paramedic.
  • BLS Certification.
