What You Will Do :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing & Test Equipment Engineer to support our Electronics / Mechanical Product line in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronic manufacturing processes, production optimization, quality standards (AS9100, IPC), and cross-functional collaboration for new product introduction (NPI). This role is pivotal in driving production efficiency, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring the manufacturability of aerospace electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes for electronic assemblies (PCBAs, wiring harnesses, electronic modules).
  • Collaborate with design engineering during NPI to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) principles are applied.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans.
  • Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to manufacturing non-conformities.
  • Support ERP/SAP systems to manage BOMs, routings, and process change control.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping).
  • Perform process capability studies and lead efforts in yield improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, IPC-A-610/620, FAA/EASA regulations).
  • Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to resolve production issues and meet delivery schedules.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support documentation for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 to 9 years of experience in a Manufacturing & Test Equipment Engineering role within the aerospace or high-reliability electronics industry.
  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, through-hole, conformal coating, soldering standards).
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and documentation practices (AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and lean methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and PLM/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Windchill).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Typically requires:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
