As a process development engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and enhancing production processes for advanced medical devices. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on with high-tech, automated manufacturing technologies such as laser cutting, laser welding, assembly, and (optical) measurement systems. Overall, you’ll be involved in the evolution of production processes throughout all stages of product maturity—from initial concept through to market launch.

You are a smart, eager and result driven engineer who thinks in terms of solutions rather than problems. You present your ideas convincingly and to the point. You show a strong sense of ownership.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Design and develop production processes for advanced medical devices by translating product requirements into robust process outputs
  • Define required process inputs(/settings) and establish equipment requirements
  • Characterize and validate production processes through a strong understanding of input-output relationships and the establishment of effective process controls
  • Drive world-class product manufacturability by optimizing processes using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency and consistency
  • Assess and improve product manufacturability through prototype build activities, providing structured feedback to product design teams to drive design improvements

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, applied physics, industrial automation or chemical engineering with 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Mastering the Dutch & English language
  • Hands-on mentality, ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
