About the Role

Success Academy is looking for a Team Lead, People Operations reporting to the Lead, People Operations. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the employee lifecycle while leading and developing a team of People Operations professionals. You will ensure that our HR processes are not only efficient and compliant, but also scalable and aligned with the needs of a fast-growing organization. This role is fast, requiring strong ability to multitask and work independently, with a focus on eliminating manual processes through automation and AI. 

 

You will act as a strategic operator and people leader — owning core People Operations workflows, elevating team performance, and partnering cross-functionally to improve systems, processes, and the overall employee experience.

 

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of People Operations professionals, setting clear expectations and driving accountability.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely, accurate execution of HR processes.

  • Acting as a point of escalation for HR-related inquiries, managing queries that are more complex or require exercising judgment to interpret policies and draw from precedents.

  • Own and optimize core People Operations workflows across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and diagnose operational challenges.

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements to enhance team productivity and service delivery.

  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience across all interactions

  • Oversee pre-employment processes (background checks, fingerprinting, education verification, etc.), particularly during peak hiring cycles.

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee data within Workday and related systems.

  • Partner with People Tech to troubleshoot system issues and implement enhancements.

  • Leverage reporting and data insights to monitor team performance and identify trends.

  • Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements (e.g., I-9 processing, work authorization, audit readiness).

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation to drive consistency and scalability.

  • Standardize processes to support onboarding, training, and continuous improvement across the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in People Operations Or Human Resources, preferably in high-volume or fast-paced environments.

  • 1-2+ years of experience leading or mentoring team members (formal or informal leadership). HR Leadership strongly preferred. 

  • Strong knowledge of HR systems such as Workday HCM and ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow or similar).

  • Experience with any of the following systems is a plus: Workday HCM, ServiceNow, Dado.
