Responsibilities 

Atwell is seeking an Electrical Designer with experience in preparing design drawings for oil and gas projects using AutoCAD primarily involving gas pipelines and facilities with emphasis on safety, accuracy, quality, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

  • Interpret complex sketches, red lines, specification outlines, or logic diagrams to prepare designs of systems, structures, equipment, plant components or assemblies.
  • Responsible for creating electrical design drawings such as one-line diagrams, area classification, conduit and cable routing, interconnect wiring, grounding, electrical details, and lighting drawings as well as conduit and cable schedules and panel schedules.
  • Experienced in performing voltage drop and conduit fill calculations.
  • Designs must adhere to applicable codes, standards, project specific requirements and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintenance and management of CAD specifications, templates and design models.
  • Knowledge and application of design codes and regulations especially the National electrical code
  • Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience drafting in the oil and gas industry.
  • Advanced skills using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as: AutoCAD and other 3D modeling software.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of well pads, pipeline facilities, metering stations, and booster stations.
  • Must be able to work with other disciplines.
  • Must be able to produce assigned deliverables without constant supervision.

Pay Range - $30.00-$60.00 base + end of year bonus.
