Description:

Position Purpose:

Ultrasound Technologist PRN to work in the Radiology Department at St Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia.  

What you do:

• Under direction of the radiologist, utilizes equipment producing two/ three-dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.
• Participate with physicians in reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgments based on test results.

What you need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARDMS Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (RVT), CCI or (ARRT).
• Registered CPR BLS Certification, thru American Heart Association
• Education:  Graduate of an AMA approved school of sonography or radiology
• Experience: At least 1 year experience preferred.
