Job Description

Network Flow and Technologies (NFT) is a centralized team driving the strategic transformation of Amazon's European fulfillment network. Our mission is to decrease Cost to Serve (CtS) and improve Customer Experience (CX) by building data solutions that provide awareness and enable resolution of defects via self-service products and efficient mechanisms for front-line operators. Our vision is to transform network operations into a lean, technology-driven, continually improving system that eliminates defects, minimizes variation, and enhances customer experience at scale.

What We Do: We seek end-to-end net benefit by minimizing under-the-roof costs for FCs and maximizing opportunities for FCs to deliver customer orders within 24hrs (1D delivery). We dive deep into metrics to identify and address opportunities within existing systems and processes.

Key job responsibilities
• Deepening understanding and experience of operational processes and workflows, diving into the systems and the amazon supply chain.
• Use and share your insights with partner teams, to influence/build a roadmap of project to maximize end-to-end benefits.
• Leverage highly analytical skills to interpret large datasets and to uncover actionable insights for known and unknown problems.
• Developing clear and detailed functional specifications and business cases based on identified business requirements.
• Implementing rigorous problem-solving approaches and supporting research and analysis to drive product (project, process/deliverables) development schedules from design to release.
• Designing and executing implementation plans, piloting and testing new solutions, and facilitating roll-outs across broader Ops organizations at country/cross-country and/or cross-regional levels.
• Managing critical relationships with external partners and contractors throughout project phases.
• Demonstrating strong hands-on project and operations management, taking ownership of project components while possessing a blend of practical and intellectual skills to adapt to varying tasks.

A day in the life
Your Role as Single Threaded Leader (STL) - Inbound Network Transformation: We seek an exceptional leader to serve as the Single Threaded Leader for NFT throughout the Inbound network transformation. As a process improvement specialist and STL, you'll serve as a subject matter expert in continuous improvement and automation, driving FC operational excellence while setting the standard for process improvements across the organization. You will manage the complexity of daily inventory replenishment, weekly RDC replenishment cycles, and cross-dock operations, strategically balancing storage efficiency against transfer costs across the network.
You will drive strategic alignment across multiple organizations, contributing to OP1/OP2 planning and presenting to senior leadership. As a force multiplier, you'll influence team priorities and business strategies through data-driven contributions while developing future leaders. Your work will target 75% iFCIS adoption by 2028 and 30% FC-level inventory reduction by optimizing inventory transfer flows across the multi-echelon network. This role requires managing complex connectivity across upstream Distribution Centers (1DC/RDC), Inbound Cross Docks, downstream Fulfillment Centers, and Nexus nodes while maintaining maximum 50 routes per 1DC and 10-hour transit time targets.

Basic Qualifications

- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience handling multiple competing priorities and complex projects with multiple stakeholders (e.g. definition of accurate network expansion plans, vendor development, quality assurance, design and cost improvement, team and stakeholder engagement)
- Experience querying relational databases using SQL (or other query languages)

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in an operations, supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role
- Experience in lean or six sigma methodologies for operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design
