The Analyst, PMO is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other department leaders to develop projects and programs.

As a Analyst PMO at AAP, you will be deeply immersed in our technology platforms as they contribute to customer experience, dedicated to creating great products. Summary: 

 

The PMO Analyst is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and implementing development sprints for a Scrum Team. The role serves as a key link between product and IT to ensure smooth product development. This role is responsible for representing and promoting agile principles while ensuring on-time initiative delivery. 

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:   

 

  • Leads project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for a Scrum Team  

  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective 

  • Guides and coaches the squad on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services  

  • Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement by monitoring scrum metrices. 

  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. 

  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team 

  • Assists Product Owners with backlog grooming, prioritization (Prioritization Matrix, Opportunity Canvas), story / epic writing 

  • Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams 

  • Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization 

  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices throughout the whole organization 

  • Prepares and maintains project plans and tracks activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports as appropriate 

  • Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and reviews actions where these deviate from agreed tolerances with line manager. Ensures that deliverables are implemented within these criteria 

  • Manages the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project stakeholders Identifies issues and problems with scope and progress of the project 

 

Required: 

 

  • Strong communication (both business and technical) and interpersonal skills 

  • Detail-oriented, project management skills 

  • Ability to support squads and corresponding documentation 

  • Ability to break down problems and estimate effort 

  • Deep knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) / Agile / Scrum principles 

  • Awareness of Project Management Tools and Processes 

  • Scrum Master experience in a US India Matrix team environment 

  • Hand-on experience in Atlassian tools (Jira/confluence) 

 

Experience: 

  • 3+ years of technology experience 

  • Minimum 1- 2 years of Scrum Methodologies, IT Project Management experience or equivalent 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's in Information Technology, Business or equivalent
