Your New Role

As the Senior Executive, Content Merchandising for HBO Max, you will play a key role in shaping how millions of viewers discover and engage with our content.

You will drive day-to-day curation within our Content Management System (CMS), support merchandising strategy with data driven insights, and collaborate closely with ‑cross functional‑ teams across the region.

This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented content enthusiast who thrives in a ‑fast-paced‑ streaming environment and loves turning cultural moments and viewing behaviour into smart programming decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Curation & Execution

  • Lead daily curation within the CMS, including execution of rails and contribution to campaign planning.

  • Manage and update the Content Merchandising Calendar with priority premieres, rollout changes, and key cultural moments across markets.

  • Oversee the end-to-end‑ Product Browsing Video workflow, coordinating with local and global stakeholders including Global Content Operations and Creative Services.

  • Assign and review genre, brand, editorial tags, and availability messaging weekly to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Strategy, Insights & Collaboration

  • Use insights from the Merchandising Analysis & Insights team to guide day-to-day‑ decisions and support feature tests and capability rollouts.

  • Partner closely with Programming, Marketing, Product, and regional counterparts to review priorities, performance, and upcoming initiatives.

  • Support curation aligned with analytics, priority content calendars, and emerging cultural trends.

Performance & Innovation

  • Apply merchandising strategies to improve discoverability, minutes per impression, impression efficiency, content diversity, and other engagement KPIs.

  • Stay attuned to global and local entertainment trends, identifying opportunities to enhance content performance and viewer satisfaction.

  • Support the Merchandising Team on key initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in media or a related field.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in content merchandising or the media/streaming industry.

  • Proven ability to analyse data to inform content placement and timing decisions, with understanding of evolving performance metrics.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple functions.

  • Deep curiosity about viewer behaviour and passion for connecting audiences with great content.

  • Highly organised, detail focused‑, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

  • Strong familiarity with WBD’s catalogue and competitor content, with enthusiasm for industry trends and innovation.
