MWM offers energy solutions based on high-performance gas engines, used in highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants for decentralized energy generation. Our customized cogeneration power plants and integrated solutions support our customers in making their energy supply efficient, flexible, and future-proof. In 1871, Carl Benz laid the basis for MWM by founding the “Mechanical Workshop“ in Mannheim. Today, the MWM brand is part of Caterpillar Energy Solutions and combines more than 150 years of experience in the development and optimization of gas engines and generator sets for natural gas, biogas, and other special gases.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Performing maintenance and inspection work on gas engines and remote heating systems
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and re-commissioning systems
  • Providing technical support to our customers, partners, and MWM distributors
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing faults in gas engines and associated peripheral equipment
  • Detailed knowledge and application of spare parts and systems
  • Preparing technical reports documenting the scope of work and execution of tasks

What you bring to the table:

  • Training in electrical engineering or automotive engineering (e.g., automotive mechatronics technician)
  • Practical experience in assembly and maintenance (e.g., automotive technology, gas engines, power plants - a plus)
  • Advanced experience in troubleshooting as well as knowledge of electrical engineering or mechatronics
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic English skills
  • Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel
