Cloud Chamber is seeking a Senior Character Artist to join our highly gifted development team to create stunning stylized characters that will inhabit the world of BioShock, while adhering to our technical specifications. You will work side by side with other members of the character team, partner closely with Technical Artists and Animators to carry the artistic and creative vision of the project forward, setting the stage for a spectacular narrative driven experience. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Work side-by-side with artists on the character team, under the direction of the Art Team Leadership, to carry the creative vision of this amazing franchise forward.
  • Create high-quality character art that adheres to next-gen technical specs while looking and functioning amazingly well in the engine.
  • Assist in the planning of content creation in collaboration with other character artists and the concept team.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that all character work meets the high-quality expectations set by the studio.

You’re able to work with the Technical Artists and Animators to gracefully shape and maintain a cross-disciplinary relationship. You are an artist. You see the world with an artist’s eye and can’t wait to recreate what you experience, adding in your style and flair, and sharing what you know with your team. 

What You’ve Done:

  • 5+ years of experience in games. 
  • Received a degree in Fine Art and/or Digital Art, or have related work experience.
  • Become proficient in Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter over the course of your career. It would be nice if you also have used Marvelous Designer, but not necessary. 
  • Worked in the Unreal Engine pipeline professionally.
