C13 VP – Enterprise Resilience Quality Review Senior Analyst

Description

The role of the Enterprise Resilience Quality Review Senior Analyst is to strategically drive the Quality Review Program into a more qualitative approach by using deep analysis to identify potential concerns based on risk when conducting quality assurance (“QA”) reviews on Business Recovery Plans (BCP), Operational Resilience, Third Party components, Application Recovery Plans (ARP), Business and Technology test results, and supporting evidence, as well as focusing on invocation readiness. The reviews will include internal as well as external supporting documentation. The main goal is to identify potential resiliency risks and instances of non-compliance with the Enterprise Resilience Policy and Standards. The ideal candidate should have a background in one or more of the compliments mentioned above, along with effective communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience: Experience with business processes, third party, technology within the Banking or financial sector (i.e., Retail Banking, Equities, Wealth Management, Settlements, Money transfer, Cash Management, Custody Banking, Securities and Funds, Treasury Cash Management). The individual must have effective communication and analytical skills. An audit or control risk management background is desirable.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Head of Enterprise Resilience Quality Assurance, the candidate will:

  • Lead and conduct standardized quality reviews on plans & testing documentation with a focus on overall risk mitigation.
  • Relationship management with ER, Business, and Technology to close observations and mitigate risk to an acceptable level.
  • Support Regulatory and Internal Audits for  Quality Assurance commitments as needed.
  • Observation Management:
    • Complete assessment documentation.
    • Document and communicate identified issues to stakeholders.
    • Track issues through resolution and validate the corrective actions taken.
  • Analysis and Reporting:
    • Assist in QA forecast and schedule preparation.
    • Perform routine updates on monthly operations reports.
    • Analyze the root cause of identified issues to spot common themes and suggest program-level improvements.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Establish / improve operational processes (process improvement / redesign) and implement tools (AI) as applicable.
    • Participate in and/or lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Resilience operations, Business, Technology, and/or Third Party.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the banking or financial sector.
  • Audit or control risk management background desirable.
  • Knowledge of standard Control Risk Management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership and adaptability when facing the unique challenges of a dynamic organization.
  • Able to take ideas from concept to execution.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, strategy, and follow-up skills with attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Expert ability to use tools to parse, merge, analyze, and present metrics and trends.
