Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Responsible for safety performance of operating area and compliance with local laws and regulations 

• Manage operations within cost budget while generating opportunities for and executing against productivity improvements 

• Mentor and coach operations team to develop talent and improve overall organizational capability 

• Establish, monitor performance against, and improve operations key performance indicators 

• Ensure daily execution against all operations targets 

• Develop mid to long term strategy for operations organization to align with business team strategy 

• Develops and executes the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards. 

• Establishes manufacturing policies, processes and programs that enable the organization to maintain and improve its competitive position as well as profitability. 

• Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.  

• Directs the establishment, implementation of engineering and maintenance directives and standards 

• Initiates and coordinates implementation of major projects (plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.). 

• Develop and ensure the implementation of strategies to achieve budgeted financial performance as well as company goals.  

 

• Schedule priorities to meet customer requirements.  

• Management of the plant facilities, layout, and maintenance function.  

• Ensure that standard procedures are followed when third parties are utilized.  

• Planning, scheduling and supervising production activities.  

• Ensuring compliance to standard, safe operating and quality procedures, and work instruction.  

• Analyze production and quality to detect and correct problems.  

• Determine and implement improvements to the production process.  
  Estimating production costs.  

• Developing/managing production budgets. 

Controlling cost in relation to the budget and changes in production volume.  
Determining the required human resources.
