Position Summary
We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and driven Conversational AI Engineering Lead Director. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in constructing and guiding dynamic, talented engineering teams. This role involves coaching and mentoring team members to ensure the delivery of top-tier products and services, specifically within the realms of voice and chat bots. Responsibilities include:
Provide technical leadership for 2-3 conversational AI delivery teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Lead the delivery of conversational AI capabilities, emphasizing full-stack development (NodeJs, Python etc.), including the integration of Large Language Models (LLM) and orchestrated applications.
Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams of AI engineers and foster a culture of technical innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Continuously evaluate and drive adoption of emerging technologies to enhance solution capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.
Ensure timely execution and quality outcomes while collaborating with various business units to communicate ongoing progress.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies. Champion best practices in AI and agile delivery.
Ensure scalability, compliance, and performance of AI solutions.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience with full stack development with languages such as Java, Python, React or Node.js.
10+ years of experience with open-source automation servers with either Jenkins or Octopus, or GitHub.
10+ years of experience with API integration tools such as Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
7+ years of experience in technology leadership roles.
7+ years of experience as a delivery lead for large-scale digital programs, working in a high-performance Agile environment.
5+ years of experience deploying applications integrated with cloud technologies.
Strong understanding of conversational AI technologies (e.g., chatbots, voice assistants, LLMs, STT/TTS, NLU/NLP engines).
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical and strategic concepts to multiple stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and their practical applications in conversational AI.
Experience developing and supporting voice and text chatbots.
Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field.
Familiarity with SAFE agile methodologies.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant QA experience)
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
