Description:

This position is responsible for providing leadership and support for the stabilizing, standardizing, simplifying, and sustaining of Process Operations for Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC). This position actively leads and mentors all levels within SAMC in developing problem solvers to improve the patient care experience, regulatory goals, and all operational metrics such as: patient safety, quality, cycle time, rework, financial stewardship, and employee satisfaction. The incumbent provides seasoned and expert guidance to leaders in the overall strategy, understanding, and deployment of LEAN, Six Sigma, and Process Simulation. This position fosters and supports ongoing learning and collaboration to develop the internal operational decision-making skills to redesign patient care processes so they are cohesively connected. The Lean and Six Sigma Advisor develops, trains and mentors on process improvement methodologies with a heavy focus on Lean, Change Acceleration, Rapid Process Improvement and Six Sigma, and Labor Productivity Management.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred. Eight (8) years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement. 
2. Five (5) years of previous experience in driving lean transformational efforts that have resulted in sustained, on-going process improvement and culture change is required. Clinical improvement related work experience is preferred.
3. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
4. Thorough knowledge of operations, financial analysis, and organizational development is required.
5. Strong communication, organizational, negotiation and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate communications between diverse groups and effectively influence and present advisory consultation are required.
6. Well-developed project management, process redesign, and analytical skills are required. Prior experience and knowledge of healthcare information technology functionality is preferred.
7. Proficient in the use of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Access, PowerPoint and iGrafX (process simulation) is required.
8. Understanding of the unique culture of healthcare for quick assimilation is preferred.

Pay Range $45.50 - $68.27
