About the Team

Doing business legally and with integrity is at the heart of how we serve our customers, communities, and fellow associates.  The Legal team works diligently to protect Lowe’s reputation and brand.

Job Summary:

This position will provide support towards review and drafting of contracts for India and US jurisdictions and advice pertaining to Lowe’s business operations. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

1. Contract Drafting, Review and Negotiation

  • Draft, review, revise, and redline a variety of contracts, including Technology Agreements, Vendor/Supplier Agreements, Procurement Agreements, MSAs, SOWs, service agreements, NDAs, LOIs, MOUs, consultancy and professional services agreements.
  • Support review of other contracts such as HR, finance, facilities, real estate, and licensing/IP-related agreements, with appropriate internal guidance.
  • Ensure contracts reflect business needs, identify legal and commercial risks, and escalate complex issues as required.

2. Global and US Contracting Exposure

  • Lead negotiations for contracts across India and US regions.
  • Ensure compliance with global laws, regulations, export controls, and corporate policies.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration and Trainings

  • Work closely with Enterprise Strategic Sourcing (ESS), Finance, Compliance, Audit, Insurance, Technology teams and Senior Leadership across teams in India and US.
  • Support negotiations and discussions with external vendors, clients, partners, consultants, and service providers.
  • Provide contract training and guidance to internal teams.

4. Process Optimization and CLM Tool

  • Develop standard templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks for all contract types.
  • Improve contract turnaround time by optimizing workflows.
  • Support implementation of CLM tool.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of work experience in an MNC/law firm

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • LLB or LLM graduate with 2 to 4 years of work experience in an MNC/law firm.

Primary Skills (must have)

  • Experience of review and drafting of global, US, and Indian contracts;
  • Critical thinking, good negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication, familiar with various templates, ability to research;
  • Initiative, flexibility, ability to adapt to different types of business functions and cultures;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in groups; and
  • Exceptional integrity and work ethic.                 

Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Prior experience of supporting the global legal teams on contract review process is an added advantage.
