The Role and Impact: Intel is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer for SoC Functional Validation to drive innovation and excellence in system-level validation methodologies for advanced integrated SoCs. In this influential role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless functionality, performance, and integration of system-on-chip designs, directly contributing to Intel's leadership in cutting-edge semiconductor technologies. As a domain expert, you will lead technical direction across Intel and the industry while mentoring future technical leaders to expand our community of innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Define, develop, and execute comprehensive validation methodologies for integrated SoCs, focusing on IP integration, IP interactions, and system-level features. - Implement and utilize hardware and software tools to monitor validation coverage and ensure optimization of performance, power, and area goals. - Review design changes to assess impact on validation plans, methodologies, and timelines. - Develop and maintain validation test plans and post-silicon validation infrastructure, including performance monitors, behavioral checkers, and state space coverage tools. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, design, board, platform, and manufacturing teams, to optimize SoC interfaces, debug strategies, and validation methodologies. - Perform silicon debug to identify and resolve root causes of functional failures and validation issues. - Publish validation reports that summarize activities, findings, and actionable insights while ensuring effective communication with relevant teams. - Create and validate content for specific IP interactions using tools such as microcode, firmware, and custom OS builds. - Engage in all phases of the product life cycle, developing content and infrastructure across environments such as simulation, emulation, and FPGAs. - Mentor and develop technical leaders while driving organizational goals through technical vision and strategy.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, combined with at least 12 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 8 years of experience with a Master's degree or 6 years with a PhD. - Expertise in validation methodologies for SoCs and strong proficiency in hardware debugging techniques. - Advanced knowledge of validation tools and techniques, including simulation, emulation, and FPGA environments. - Strong technical skills in silicon debug, failure analysis, and performance optimization for complex SoC systems. Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated leadership in influencing technical direction across organizations and the broader semiconductor industry. - Experience in mentoring and developing technical talent, fostering innovation and collaboration within teams. - Proven ability to align technical strategies with organizational goals and lead the execution of high-impact projects. - Strong communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $256,050.00-361,480.00 USD

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
