Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative marketing leader to join our team as Director, SMB Marketing. Reporting to the Head of SMB Marketing, this role is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that support the Community-Focused Direct Sales Channel, with a primary emphasis on serving Asian American small and medium-sized business (SMB) communities. This leader will drive culturally relevant, in-language, and community-based marketing initiatives designed to increase brand awareness, deepen customer engagement, and accelerate growth across diverse local markets.
The ideal candidate brings strong strategic leadership, proven experience in multicultural and B2B marketing, and the ability to translate community insights into scalable, measurable marketing programs that align with business and sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive SMB marketing strategies aligned with enterprise goals and Direct Sales Channel priorities.
Lead community-focused marketing initiatives targeting Asian American SMB audiences through culturally relevant campaigns, advertising, events, and partnerships.
Plan and manage end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and localized media channels.
Oversee the creation and deployment of in-language marketing materials, ensuring cultural authenticity, regulatory compliance, and brand consistency.
Partner closely with Direct Sales leadership, field teams, and community stakeholders to align marketing programs with sales strategies and local market needs.
Identify and activate community events, sponsorships, and grassroots opportunities that strengthen local presence, trust, and brand relevance.
Manage agency partners, vendors, and internal creative teams to deliver high-quality marketing assets on time and within budget.
Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and optimize strategies to improve engagement, conversion, and return on investment.
Stay informed on market trends, community insights, and competitive activity to inform strategic planning and innovation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results
Preferred Skills/Experience
Demonstrated success in B2B and/or multicultural marketing, including go-to-market strategy and integrated campaign execution; financial services, banking, or payments experience preferred.
Strong strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with CRM and marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, or Adobe.
Familiarity with marketing automation, analytics, reporting, and campaign performance tools.
Data-driven mindset with experience measuring marketing effectiveness and revenue impact.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing budgets, agencies, and external partners.
Familiarity with Asian American community media outlets and channels preferred.
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities relevant to Asian American communities are a strong plus.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,095.00 - $130,700.00
