Are you a skilled Power Generation Technician looking to electrify your career with exciting travel opportunities both within the continental United States and abroad? CACI Federal is seeking a dynamic T3 Power Generator Tech to join our technical team in Albuquerque, NM. If you’re passionate about performing preventive and predictive maintenance, executing repairs and upgrades, and training end-users on mobile Power Generation Units (PGU), we want you on our Field Services team!



Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on Power Generation Units (PGU) and associated electrical systems

  • Play a key role in performing repairs, upgrades, and mobile PGU end-user training

  • Troubleshooting of circuits, wiring, switchgear, and PLCs

  • Repairing and maintaining internal combustion engines, including fuel, cooling, and electrical subsystems

  • Read/interpret electrical and mechanical schematics


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and must be eligible to obtain/maintain TS/SCI access.

  • Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS (25% or more).

  • Advanced-level troubleshooting of circuits, wiring, switchgear, and PLCs. Experience with AC systems (up to 600V) and DC systems is required.

  • Proficiency in repairing and maintaining internal combustion engines, including fuel, cooling, and electrical subsystems.

  • Proficient use of DMMs, oscilloscopes, and Megohmmeters to evaluate voltage, current, and leakage.

  • Ability to read/interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Experienced in tracking government-owned property/materials and submitting timely material requests and expense reports.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair malfunctions quickly under high-pressure or emergency conditions.

  • Ability to translate complex technical issues for end-users and internal stakeholders.

  • Capable of performing independent service across multiple sites with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).



Desired:

  • 5+ years of industry experience is preferred in addition to Vocational, technical, or OEM-specific training.

  • Prior experience installing or commissioning generators on mobile government assets.

  • A strong desire to cross-train on additional technologies and functions beyond power generation (such as HVAC, and HM/HS).

  • Active DoD clearance is preferred.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
