Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.

Cat Digital is the digital and technology arm of Caterpillar Inc., leveraging the latest technologies to build industry leading digital solutions for our customers and dealers. With over 1.5 million connected assets worldwide, our teams use data, technology, advanced analytics, telematics, and AI capabilities to help our customers build a better, more sustainable world.

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for enabling and optimizing CSC adoption across CI and RI by guiding planning, communication, training, workflow enablement, and change management efforts. This role bridges enterprise tools, governance, and standards with real-world business execution ensuring marketing teams can operate efficiently, consistently, and at scale.

Business Impact

This role directly improves how marketing is executed across CI and RI by reducing operational friction, increasing content reuse, improving asset findability, and enabling faster speed to market. Through strong adoption of CSC tools and processes, this role helps lower operational costs while improving customer experience and marketing effectiveness.

What You Will Do:

Key Role Expectations (Non-Negotiables)

  • Drive adoption across global, matrixed teams without direct authority

  • Operate effectively in ambiguity and build structure, clarity, and process

  • Translate enterprise systems, tools, and governance into clear business value

  • Balance business needs with enterprise standards and governance

  • Lead change management efforts that influence behaviors, not just tools

1. CSC Activation & Implementation

  • Lead enterprise-wide CSC implementation across CI and RI marketing teams and agency partners

  • Operationalize CSC by assessing and mapping current-state workflows and identifying gaps

  • Translate enterprise CSC frameworks into business-ready execution models

  • Align technical (core) and marketing (promotional) content into a unified workflow

  • Ensure adoption of enterprise platforms including Adobe Workfront, AEM Assets and Frame.io

2. Change Management & Adoption

  • Design and execute change management strategies tailored to CI/RI use cases

  • Lead onboarding, role-based training, and enablement for global teams and agencies

  • Drive adoption of CSC tools, processes, and standards

  • Identify adoption barriers and implement solutions to improve engagement and usage

  • Maintain a positive and encouraging approach during transformation and change

3. Workflow & Operational Enablement

  • Standardize intake, briefing, and workflow processes within Workfront

  • Streamline approval processes and reduce manual handoffs and duplication

  • Establish reusable components, templates, and best practices

  • Drive visibility into timelines, dependencies, and deliverables

  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to accelerate content throughput

4. Business Partnership & Advocacy

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CI and RI marketing teams

  • Provide consultative guidance to align business needs with CSC capabilities

  • Advocate for CI/RI needs while supporting enterprise-wide process improvements

  • Build trust with stakeholders by demonstrating dependability and expertise

  • Collaborate with CSC Program Manager and Activation teams to align priorities

5. Governance & Content Standards

  • Champion content governance and metadata standards to improve asset findability

  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across CI/RI content efforts

  • Reinforce naming conventions, taxonomy, and metadata usage

  • Support governance models that enable scalability and consistency

6. Continuous Improvement & Feedback Loop

  • Collect, review, and prioritize user feedback through CSC intake processes

  • Translate feedback into actionable improvements for tools and workflows

  • Provide CI/RI perspective to inform enterprise CSC roadmap and enhancements

  • Partner with analytics teams to measure adoption, efficiency, and impact

What You Will Have:

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.
Creativity: Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business situations.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or related field

  • Extensive experience in marketing operations, content management, or digital marketing

  • Strong understanding of marketing workflows and content lifecycle

  • Proven experience leading change management and transformation initiatives

  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Adobe Workfront, AEM Assets, Frame.io, or similar

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

What Success Looks Like

  • CI and RI teams fully onboarded and actively using CSC workflows and tools
