  • Reports to: Divisional Innovation Manager
  • Division: Automotive Plastic Fasteners
  • Member of the Innovation Team, Fasteners Division, EU Regional Account

Objectives:

  • Lead and manage projects assigned to the team (technical side) and ensure their successful execution
  • Identify innovative products suited to our manufacturing methods and clients
  • Design and develop new products according to Quality / Cost / Delivery (Q.C.D.) constraints
  • Improve existing products
  • Influence through technical choices and vision
  • Be a technical “leader” and energize a team-oriented, results-driven environment
  • Use an “outside-in” approach to identify opportunities and deliver innovative, differentiated solutions for fasteners and adjacent products
  • Collaborate with external service providers, such as injection molding suppliers, 3D printing partners, and material suppliers, to support prototype development, feasibility studies, and production readiness.

Main Tasks:

  • Ensure technical interface with clients
  • Design and develop new products
  • Propose and develop improvements to existing products based on internal or external client requests, within productivity frameworks
  • Assist draftsmen and account managers
  • Update and modify technical drawings
  • Create technical documentation
  • Create prototypes and demonstrators to support go to market
  • Ensure functionality of developed products through test execution
  • Comply with client specifications
  • Meet deadlines (project schedule, action plans, etc.)

Working Hours:

  • As per employment contract
  • Executive status with fixed number of working days
  • Based on 218 days/year under the current 35-hour agreement

Education / Skills / Knowledge Required:

  • Technical Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software CATIA (Siemens NX, or SolidWorks is a plus).
  • Proven experience in plastic product design and injection molding
  • Proven experience in product developing
  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding of automotive manufacturing process challenges is a plus
