The Opportunity

This position works out of our Mexico City – Manufacturing Site, in in the Established Pharmaceutical Division.

As the QA Director, you will facilitate quality control of products manufactured in the unit, from raw material to finished product packaging and validation of manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance and implementation of policies and global and local standards and legislation.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in strategic planning unit, propose actions aimed at maintaining the profitability and sustainability of business in the short, medium and long term.
  • Gain control and compliance with medical and scientific standards for products of the unit, defining criteria, methods and procedures for chemical and microbiological analysis and validation of production processes and systems involved in product quality, legal compliance and internal rules.
  • Facilitate efforts to ensure the practice of quality systems in place and compliance with legal requirements for production processes (factory and lab), as well as the development of packaging for products marketed by Abbott, aiming to maintain levels of product excellence.
  • Gain control and compliance with the specifications for certain products and packaging produced by the unit identification through analysis of the raw material, manufacturing process and packaging, in compliance with internal rules and legal.
  • To act in situations of greater complexity, involving negotiations with unit managers, seeking solutions that ensure product quality and meet the Abbott business needs and production.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process of the unit.
  • Participate in strategic planning of sales and operations, to identify needs and make the planning of the Management of Quality Assurance aligned with financial goals, and commercial production.

Required Qualifications

  • QFB Bachelor Degree – Mandatory
  • MBA or Post Graduation in Business Management or Business Management
  • Fluent Spanish
  • Fluent English
