Guardian Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS) provides the backbone for emergency response in the UK & Europe. Our applications help 999 operators respond to calls from the public and dispatch out nearby responders, enabling the right response when every second counts.

As our solution has grown from a small start-up to one of the leading offerings for Fire & Police agencies, our customers now trust us to solve more of their problems. We are building new products to increase the safety and efficiency of emergency response agencies, and ultimately to help our customers save lives. The Guardian team is distributed across the UK and Poland, with hubs in Glasgow, Leicester, Hemel and Krakow. We currently have around 150 employees. We have a relaxed but hard working environment where jeans and t-shirts are the norm and good ideas and debate are encouraged. Our daily work is remote and often asynchronous, with workflows managed via Google Chat & collaborative documents in G-Suite. However, you’ll also have the opportunity to join us for frequent in person work & social events like post-work pints, Flight Club darts, or our annual all-hands in top European cities like Prague, Barcelona, and Krakow.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior FE Developer with strong Angular knowledge to join our team.

The main responsibility will be to develop, test and deliver next-generation dispatching solutions within client-server architecture and improved UI/UX experience.

The technology stack that you will use/learn is Angular.js,  Angular 19, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and SASS, CI/CD, REST API, and GIT.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of software solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

• Design and implement FE architectures that support software solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and secure.

• Strong FE skills, including significant experience with Angular

• Work closely with business stakeholders and project managers to gather requirements and develop specifications for software solutions.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support to the development team.

Basic Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3+ years of experience in AngularJS / 18+

• Is proficient in JavaScript

• Has practical knowledge of HTML5/CSS3

• Is experienced with responsive frameworks

• Has understanding of JavaScript testing environments, e.g. Karma/Jasmine

• Is passionate about writing high-quality code

• Can demonstrate good technical ability

• Understands modern development workflows, including agile process, Git repositories, pull requests

• Has solid understanding of OOP, design patterns and software engineering principles

• Has strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
