The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has opened for an Environmental Scientist/Planner with consulting experience to join the Queensland Environment Group.

It is a fantastic time to join the KBR team as we continue to develop a strong pipeline of diverse, interesting projects for a range of clients across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide input to environmental tasks including development of environmental impact assessments, environmental approval applications, EMPs, and other environmental studies and management plans
• Undertake technical and field tasks for a range of environmental disciplines including soil, surface water, groundwater, sediments, water quality and ecology in both terrestrial and marine environments
• Provide environmental input, advice and expertise on studies and engineering projects
• Produce high quality professional deliverables
• Develop environmental solutions in collaboration with other internal/external professionals
• Contribute to proposals and securing new work
• Apply relevant Commonwealth, State and Local legislation, policies and guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in environmental science, planning or other relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 4 - 7 years’ experience in environmental consulting
• Proven capability in professional technical writing in a consulting environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel to carryout field assessments in remote areas
