Overview:
In this role the Engineer will actively participate in Landing Gear Product Design, Manufacturing Drawing, Test Fixture and Design & Sustaining Engineering.
Position: Sr. Lead Engineer (P3) Hybrid
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the deliverables meeting the expected quality and on time delivery
- Maintain and develop a positive relationship with customers & other functional groups
- Collaborate with the Global and Local Stakeholders from different departments
- Responsible for compliance with Global Trade requirements
- Adherence to quality management process and procedures
- Drive process improvements opportunities
- Drive Skill Development initiatives
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and special processes.
- Excellent drawing interpretation, 3D visualization, and engineering drawing reading skills.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Cost (DFC) principles.
- Basic understanding of structural analysis concepts and the ability to interpret stress analysis reports.
- Knowledge of Landing Gear components and their functionality is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modeling; familiarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter is preferred.
- Exposure to Automation or Digital Technologies is an added advantage.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and meet organizational objectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with MRO teams, business units, and cross-functional teams including design, stress, and materials engineering.
- Ability to work effectively under challenging timelines and workload demands.
- Consistently deliver results under demanding conditions while supporting team performance.
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Take an active role in personal development and supporting the growth of team members to meet both career and organizational goals.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering with 6-8 years of experience. A Master's degree in a similar domain would be a plus.
