Job Description:

  • Simulation of electron-optical systems
  • Programming (Python, C#, C++ or Julia) and development of physical models
  • Testing of development prototypes of electron microscopes and their components
  • Measurement of physical characteristics in the field of electron optics and vacuum systems
  • Preparation of experimental setups, evaluation of measured data, and presentation of results
  • Automation of experiments using scripts
  • Optimization of electron column settings
  • Collaboration on development projects

Requirements:

  • University or PhD student in physics or mathematics
  • General technical overview, knowledge in applied physics and mathematics
  • Programming knowledge (Python, C#, C++ or Julia)
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Czech/Slovak on communicative level required
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week for one year
