Our well-rounded bankers are Relationship Managers dedicated to designing and delivering innovative solutions to meet clients strategic and financial priorities. They originate transactions, build, grow and maintain long-term relationships with banks and non-banks financial institution clients. The team works closely with its partners in Global Markets, Transaction Services, Risk Management, Operations/Compliance and CMO/IB both locally and globally. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic & trusted advisor to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • To manage and expand a portfolio of client relationships which may include locally / regionally headquartered companies, and/or local/regional subsidiaries of foreign companies with the objective of deepening relationships and growing revenues.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend solutions to address these needs, such as financing, streamlining of cash management operations, foreign currency solutions, etc.
  • Cross-sell banking products, including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, loans (including syndicated, bilateral) and capital market products
  • Responsible for all credit and operational aspects of the relationship including annual reviews, early problem recognition and remedial management
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • To identify new opportunities for client acquisition and up-tiering of client relationships in breadth and depth through clients’ changing needs; and where applicable, to introduce and deliver Citi’s strategic product capabilities


Key Competencies:

  • Good understanding of Corporate Banking products/solutions, banking regulations, credit approval process and general banking administrative and operational processes.
  • Prior client relationship management/support banker experience and/or relevant corporate banking product experience would be an advantage
  • Responsible for meeting budget on a portfolio of clients
  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, organizational and credit skills.
  • Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and custody products preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening skills with good command of written and verbal communication in English and other local languages.
  • Good team player with strong work ethics and high energy level to succeed.


Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA or Master's degree in Business preferred
