Job Description

As a Business Analytics Senior Analyst, you will serve as a strategic analytics partner helping shape healthcare decisions through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and medical data. You will work across clinical, product, and enterprise teams to turn complex medical and pharmacy data into insights that improve outcomes, support innovation, and enable smarter decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analytics initiatives using machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI to support clinical products, population health, and enterprise strategy.

  • Design and execute analytically sound studies, including cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional analyses, using medical and pharmacy claims and clinical data.

  • Develop scalable analytical pipelines and reusable assets using Python, R, SQL, Databricks, and Teradata.

  • Integrate clinical, financial, and operational healthcare data to generate actionable, decision-ready insights.

  • Apply working knowledge of medical coding systems (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, LOINC) to ensure accurate interpretation and clinical relevance.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to advance data standards, analytic best practices, and analytics enablement.

  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, executive-ready insights through compelling data storytelling.

  • Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to Product, Clinical, Operations, Finance, and Account partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in advanced analytics, healthcare analytics, or data science roles.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and large-scale data platforms such as Teradata and Databricks.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for analytics, modeling, and data manipulation.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare data structures, including medical and pharmacy claims.

  • Experience applying statistical, epidemiologic, or machine learning methods to real-world healthcare problems.

  • Ability to communicate analytical concepts, assumptions, and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Healthcare, payer, PBM, or life sciences industry experience.

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and AI-driven analytics, including exposure to NLP or large language models.

  • Familiarity with clinical grouping tools such as Symmetry.

  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, evolving, and data-driven environments.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 68,000 - 113,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
