How will you make an impact?

• Analytics leadership: Lead analytical delivery for healthcare clients, ensuring consistent high-quality solutions that address complex data challenges and drive tangible business outcomes
• Team development: Manage and mentor a technical team of analysts, developing their technical capabilities and fostering professional growth through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Stakeholder engagement: Maintain strong relationships across all levels of client organisations, from subject matter experts to C-suite executives, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives
• Strategic communication: Translate technical concepts and analytical insights into accessible recommendations for non-technical audiences through compelling presentations and communications
• Technical excellence: Leverage advanced SQL, cloud platforms and data visualisation tools to deliver complex data processing and dashboard creation for healthcare sector requirements
• AI innovation: Apply understanding of generative AI applications to enhance analytical productivity and deliverable quality, staying current with emerging technologies
• Culture building: Contribute to maintaining Quantium's culture and collaborative environment within the Johannesburg office through visible leadership and team engagement

The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team:

• Technical proficiency: 7+ years' experience in advanced analytics / data science, with 1-2+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity
• Advanced technical skills: Strong Python / SQL proficiency for complex data querying and manipulation across large datasets
• Cloud expertise: Experience with large-scale data processing and familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, Databricks)
• Academic background: Degree in a relevant field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics or related discipline
• Communication excellence: Strong presentation and communication abilities, with experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Consultative approach: Experience building trusted relationships with stakeholders and gaining in-depth understanding of their objectives to develop relevant solutions that solve complex problems
• AI understanding: Understanding of generative AI applications in analytics and consulting contexts
• Healthcare interest: Healthcare sector experience or strong familiarity with healthcare data challenges and regulatory requirements is highly desirable
