Your Impact:

The Telecom Commercial Premise Technician - Level IV is essential in executing detailed site surveys, installation, integration, and testing of customer premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision. This role ensures superior installation quality and customer satisfaction by adhering to industry and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Master installation skills and testing according to Telco Standards, performing Level IV duties with high competence and accuracy.
  • Conduct comprehensive equipment installation and system testing on various fiber systems.
  • Work with transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, and Juniper.
  • Understand and adhere to fiber installation standards and procedures.
  • Read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, and wiring documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy in all required documentation.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and company employees for equipment testing and integration.
  • Understand and comply with company policies, safety procedures, and administrative requirements.
  • Comply with system update requirements for installation documents.
  • Resolve project-related issues using defined processes.
  • Generate and apply job/equipment specifications, installation documents, schematics, and test records proficiently.
  • Perform quality audits to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of installation experience or equivalent training, with leadership experience preferred.
  • High school diploma with two years of technical school or related training in telecommunications.
  • Proficiency with laptop computer applications and common-sense problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to pass background checks, and insurability required.

Physical/Work Environment:

  • Compliance with OSHA Standards is mandatory.
  • Travel within the home region with a company vehicle, including potential overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
