About the Opportunity
A world-leading rapid growth digital asset trading firm is looking for a systematic trader to manage quantitative trading strategies and help improve the in-house trading and risk management platform. The firm has presence in major cryptocurrency exchanges and it trades different kinds of products in the market, ranging from spot to structural products. The firm is highly tech-driven with people from top-tier investment banks, hedge funds, and tech companies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Make markets for delta1 instruments such as spots, swaps and futures in crypto market.
- Manage and optimize systematic trading strategies, including arbitrage and market-making strategies applicable to digital asset markets.
- Conduct research on alpha signals and backtesting to enhance the profitability of trading strategies.
- Apply your traditional finance expertise to identify opportunities and adapt proven strategies to crypto markets.
- Work with developers to build and drive the continual improvement of the world-class risk management and trading tools.
What We Look For In You
- Degree in a relevant area (Mathematics/Physics/Engineering/Computer Science/Finance) from a top university.
- Proven track record in systematic trading within traditional financial markets, with a strong focus on US equities or HK/A-share markets.
- High-frequency trading (HFT) experience is strongly preferred; mid-to-low frequency systematic trading experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Experience at a top-tier investment bank, proprietary trading firm, or quantitative hedge fund in traditional finance; candidates without prior crypto experience are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Deep understanding of delta-1 instruments (equities, futures, swaps) in traditional markets; crypto knowledge is not required but curiosity about the space is a plus.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python/Java/RUST/C++).
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required, given the cross-regional nature of the role.
