  • Lead functional projects and programs that contribute to business or process improvements.
  • Analyze business trends to inform decision-making and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate corporate records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

You will coordinate incident management oversight across PayPal Europe, ensuring fast, effective responses that protect our customers and business. This role sits at the heart of operational resilience, combining stakeholder leadership, regulatory expertise, and regulatory coordination and governance.

Meet our team

You’ll join the Operational Resilience team at PayPal Europe, a group focused on keeping our platform secure, reliable, and compliant across a complex regulatory landscape. We work closely with teams across Risk, Compliance, IT, and InfoSec to ensure PayPal can respond quickly and effectively to any incident.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with global and regional partners, helping to drive a proactive incident management culture and ensuring seamless coordination during critical events. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver safe, uninterrupted services to millions of customers across Europe.

Your way to impact

You will play a key role in strengthening PayPal’s operational resilience by ensuring effective oversight and coordination during incidents across our European operations. Your ability to coordinate stakeholders, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement will help minimize disruption and enhance customer trust.

You’ll also contribute to evolving our incident management framework, ensuring we stay ahead of regulatory expectations and industry best practices.

Your day to day

In your day-to-day role, you will:

  • Coordinate PPEU's first-line engagement during incidents, ensuring timely classification, regulatory assessment, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (Risk, Compliance, IT, InfoSec) to ensure PPEU is effectively engaged and informed during major incidents.
  • Develop and enhance incident management frameworks, playbooks, and response processes
  • Analyze incident trends and root causes to implement improvements and preventative measures
  • Support regulatory reporting and ensure alignment with EU requirements (including DORA)
  • Facilitate incident simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews
  • Promote awareness and training to build a strong, proactive incident management culture

What do you need to bring

  • Experience in incident management, operational resilience, or IT service management within financial services
  • Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks relevant to incident management (e.g. PSD2, DORA), ideally gained within a complex, regulated financial services environment.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and operate effectively under pressure
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones
