Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Senior Vice President (SVP) to join the USCC Credit Risk Data team and drive our Credit Risk Attribute Management, Premier/ATB attribute infrastructure, Machine Learning model implementation, and RCLI modernization. This role focuses on U.S. Consumer and Commercial portfolios and will use deep technical skills and strategic vision to drive transformation, while partnering with Technology, Risk Policy, Modeling, Operations, and external vendors to deliver crucial data, model, and decisioning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Attribute Governance, Lineage & Monitoring
Define and champion enterprise governance for consumer credit attributes, covering lineage, definitions, controls, change management, and ongoing monitoring.
Set the strategic direction for automated daily and monthly attribute monitoring, alerting, stakeholder dispositioning, and governance sustainability.
Establish and maintain the strategic roadmap for bureau attribute inventory, change logs, and intake processes.
Guide remediation activities, Issues, CAPs, milestones, and Risk Acceptances for Attribute Management.
CRM Data Strategy & Execution
Manage daily CRM batch processes, integrating customer relationships across cards and lending portfolios.
Drive CRM improvements, including new attribute creation, platform expansions, and onboarding of business units and products.
ATB / Premier Attribute Ecosystem Leadership
Lead cross-portfolio deployment of ATB/Premier attributes across Acquisitions, ECM, RCLI, Retail Bank, Canada, and Commercial.
Partner with Technology and Credit Utilities teams to modernize, reduce latency, and ensure consistent attribute availability across decisioning platforms.
Machine Learning Model Implementation (Online & Batch)
Direct the design, development, deployment, and testing of ML scoring services across real-time and batch infrastructures.
Guide feature engineering, Python-to-PySpark transformations, SHAP value generation, and Adverse Action reason code development.
Deliver multi-model scoring support for partner data models across acquisitions, ECM, collections, and commercial portfolios.
Lead productionization efforts across CI/CDE, EAP/DHUB, Acquisitions, and downstream systems
Cross-Functional & Technology Partnership
Influence architectural decisions, data integrations, system design, API enablement, and downstream process enhancements across multiple platforms.
Collaborate with Risk Policy, RSSE, Technology Architecture, Modeling, Partner Management, and Operations to execute end-to-end initiatives.
Provide executive communication and guidance on program oversight and delivery.
Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
Ensure data pipelines and processes provide accurate and timely regulatory reporting, adhering to internal and external compliance standards (e.g., OCC, CFPB, Fed regulations).
Collaborate with compliance and regulatory teams, ensuring data integration processes meet regulatory scrutiny and industry best practices.
Guide the development of data-driven processes and systems that streamline reporting, minimize manual interventions, and enhance accuracy and timeliness.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Lead innovation in automation, scalability, and efficiency of data integration and controls within the credit risk framework.
Stay current with industry advancements in data governance, AI/ML, and data transformation, applying these insights to improve data management processes.
Identify, analyze, and drive improvements in the data lifecycle to reduce costs, increase accuracy, and enhance compliance.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
10+ years in Credit Risk, Data Governance, Decision Management, Analytics, or related Technology functions
Demonstrated expertise in credit bureaus, consumer/commercial attributes, lineage, controls, and governance frameworks.
Experience deploying ML models into production (real-time and batch).
Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional data or technology transformation programs.
Experience managing and influencing global regulatory, audit, and remediation deliverables without direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline.
Experience with vendor-managed attribute technologies (e.g., Experian ATB).
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Autosys, cloud-based scoring services, Kafka/event-hub pipelines, and CI/CDE architecture.
Knowledge of credit card, retail bank, and commercial underwriting, acquisitions, and account management cycles.
Experience influencing executive stakeholders, technology architects, and external vendors.
Leadership Competencies (Individual Contributor)
